February 26= perfect day

So tomorrow is February 26.... it is THE COOLEST DAY OF THE YEAR!!!!! Wanna know why? Well on the morning of February 26, 1990, at approximately 11:30 AM, a sweet little baby (or in this case, HUGE BABY) weighing approximately 10 pounds entered the world..... JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW

Summer Lifeguarding+Hot Sun+End of shifts=Perfect Summer

SO I absolutely cannot wait for summer time. I have one of the coolest jobs! I love it. However, my job can make a person crazy! I blame the sun and the overdose of vitamin D. The following are pictures of days in the lives of their lifeguards and their boss

This First Picture is of what happens after some hot shifts. We lifeguards go Ihop late at night!

This is what happens to some lifeguards after a long shift and 15 of them go to leatherbees and overwhelme the waitors. Imagine, 15 young lifeguard at leather bees. GOOD TIMES

Then after all the craziness, it all is great when you head home, slip on the basket ball shorts and tee-shirt and go outside in bare feet and lay on the grass.... and fly a kite

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Today was just the most beautiful day I have seen in a long time! I can't even describe it! I drove home from the trax xtation today and guess what I did.... I rolled down the window to feel the warm rays from the sunshine. And guess what those sun rays do? Help activate the Vitamin D in my body! THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!! Its just a GREAT day! It is almost making me want summer time! WOOT WOOT!!!

TOP reasons of what made me get through this week!

So it was the LONGEST most STRESSFUL week of my life! I thought i was going to DIE! Tests=BLAH! Work=BLAH! Crying to your boss about stresses in life= MAN I feel like a baby! overall life=BLAH! But hey, I made it through and am not quite dead yet! THere were some things that occured this week that totally made it a worth while week. They did happen at the work place. So as in an earlier blog post, I talked about an autistic boy whom i was helping teach swim lessons to. Well we finished with the lessons this past wednesday and let me just say, I had the time of my life! I mean all i did was hold him above water and let him do his own things like, head-butt me, splash, stare at EVERYTHING, smack me, and eat my hair, but most of all, he just giggled the whole time EVERY class. Well the last day of classes, we had the parents of EVERY kid fill out a survey that was kinda their thoughts on the overall class and the instructors. Well, the mother of this boy wrote something about the lead instructor and I that kinda just put a cherry on top of the cake! She said that she was so grateful that the Facility was so willing to accommodate with her son's disabilities. She thought that other facilities may have not even let him enrolled in swim lessons. The rest of her commets said that she was so grateful that we pulled another instructor in (aka=ME) and there were several times that she was in tears just watching her little boy in swimming lessons and laughing and having a good time. That to me makes it just SO much more special that the mom was touched by our facility to accept him in the lessons. (I hope this is makeing sense) ANyways, the other experience that made my week, was I was sitting at the pool in my regular clothes. Well a random little boy walked by me and said, "Hey, you saved my best friend" I was like what? Then he reminded me of the day and i do remember the event! It is just so cool that the kids end up looking up to lifeguards..... and remember us. I think for this boy i will be remembered as the on who saved his best friend. I hate to brag and all but to me this is cool!

MY HERO!

Most of you will probably bash on this but i think this kid rocks!!!!! you just have to know fred. He is supposed to be a 6 year old kid.

Why do we have stress?

Why do we have stress? I HATE stress! How do you handle stress? I need advice there. So I have worked at the pool for about 5 years now. I am bored with lifeguarding and my boss knows it so i have been doing/helping with other stuff to get off the guard chair and still get paid. I have been an aide for classes and such. Well i didn't know that when she and i decieded on this, i didn't know how much i would be helping! I mean its something i want to do, its just so stressful. I am going to complain whether you blog readers like it or not. I have been asked to help with CPR, Lifeguard training course, Swim Instructor, and now scout classes! Along with my regular guard shifts and school and primary. I have missed my alarm a couple of times this week due to exhaustion. It also hit me this afternoon after i paid a visit to my bosses and got notes for the scout classes. I came home and just broke down. So i am asking for your help, how do you handle stress... particularly obtaining new responsibilities at work places.

From what I hear, Utah Womens Gymnastics are #1 in the Nation! To me, that is freakin awesome. Well this evening, i had the wonderful opportunity to take a wee little field trip with some of my cousins to the womens meet and by gosh by golly, the really do ROCK! I LOVE LIFE RIGHT NOW!!!!

SO I think I have the coolest life right now! I will give you a list of reasons why I have the coolest life!
1. I am 18 years old almost 19.... wow thats weird.... i remember when i was first 12 years old.
2. I go to the coolest school EVER! THe University of Utah. I have always dreamed of going to the University of Utah ever since I knew what college was. And I'd hate to brag, but they just had one of the best football teams EVER!
3. I have the coolest friends! Isn't nice to have cool friends? Friends that will listen to me when I have to tell the random stories, they will accept me for being me, and I know that my friends will be there at times when I need them. I have feelings that some of my friends now will be my friends when I am married with kids.... perhaps my kids will be friends with their kids. hahahahah
4. I am in the coolest ward! It has been split soooo many times since i have been in it but my ward seriously fits the category of "ward family". I'd hate to brag, but Lauren and I are WAY popular in my ward and EVERYONE knows who we are. I know that the "ward family" will always be there too.
5. I have the coolest calling! I love being able to hang out with 3-4 year old boys and girls every sunday for 2 hours. I love sunbeams!
6. I have the coolest job! I have learned some major skills that if needed can seriously save someones life! It amazes me that someone could be on the brink of death and with the usage of these skills 3 weeks later, they can be back to normal! I have also been able to meet the most amazing people at the work place! I have close friendships with the people at my work and am indeed grateful for that.
Well, my list could go on and on, I am just happy to be here and happy that the Utes have been able to pull off a few wins in basketball.
