Should I trust BMI/Body fat % tests?

So for one of my classes, I got to go to a lab at school to have my Blood tested for all sorts of things and also checked my BMI and body Fat%. I don't know if I trust the test! It put me in a category that i don't agree with! WHat do you blog readers think? Should we trust the little machine telling us our BMI and %body fat? I am not satisfied with my results? What about Muscle Index? I just dont know...

Great Opportunity

So I was recently asked if I could "aide" to one of the swim lessons classes. I was asked because an Autistic boy was enrolled into lessons. Those of you who know me very well know that I ABSOLUTELY love children/adults with disabilities and have a special place in my heart for them. I just love working and talking with them. Words can't even describe it.... Well i met the little boy today for the first time and I instantly have been drawn to this boy. I felt like i have known him forever! I think i was blessed to have a special characteristic in me that can interact with people with disabilities. I mean sure he was flipping in my arms, trying to go underwater... but there was one point in time where he started growling at me trying to bite me... and what do i do? I growl back and pretend to eat him. He absolutely LOVED it and we played for a while.
I guess what I am trying to say, I have had SOOOOO many experiences in my life that have let me interact with special needs kids/adults. It has truely blessed my life to be around their perfect spirits. I think i have heard that we should teach them, but in reality, THey are the ones who are teaching me and I know that they really do have the light of christ in their bodies....
ANyways, I hope this made sense... i mostly rambled about it....

Battle of The Boy Bands

Were you a boy band freak? I was... I was totally in love and am still in love with The Backstreet Boys! THey were my absolute most favorite! And they were my first concert! OH YEAH!!! Best concert i ever went to. I thought i would put some videos up of the "Boy Bands" and i want to hear who you like the most? I liked them all but was mostly in love with the Backstreet Boys!

Stapley Sister's are MOVIE STARS!

So me and my sisters used to re-in-act this one scene in a gene kelly movie. Ok maddie and lauren would do the acting but it is hilarious! Maddie would be Gene Kelly and Lauren would be judy garland! They would act this scene on our porch! I would watch and try not to laugh. This is from Summer Stock! Maybe when Maddie and Ben come down, this will be our next video recording we do!

Trax Stinks- Literally

So trax stinks!!! No it really does!!!! There have been sooooooo many stinky people on the train lately. THe other MORNING for instance, my friends and I were commutting up to school and at one stop, the doors open, someone gets on and they smelled TERRIBLE!!!! A wiff of it filled the train. We didn't know who it was... oh man, gotta love trax right? And today, I sat by a guy who smelled SOOO bad, I almost threw up. Then you may ask, "why didn't you move?" well, i was in a single seat so no one could sit next to me... he was sitting on the bench across from my single seat. (if that makes any sense whatsoever) Oh boy, trax stinks! hahahaha I just had an epiphany! Trax is a good thing to blog about!!! Hahahaha

UGH

I hate to be a blog complainer, but I am going to just get some thoughts off my chest. So I go to the U of U and commute! Yipee doesn't everyone love commutting? Well I don't mind any of it except the afternoon coming home bus. I am the only one in my family who has to commute Trax and Bus and when i complain about it at home, OH BOY do i get torn apart because "I am just a freshmen", or "you have it so easy" or whatever... I just don't understand, they don't even commute UTA anymore and Yet i am the one getting in trouble.... ugh...

First Day of Class!

So the first day of classes went alright... it was a fast day! I think i am going to enjoy this semester. I am in Math 1040 With my cousin Peter. I am in Exercise Sports Science 2500 because this is my major and what i want to do? Ask me what i want to do with it? Well I am not the most in shape, trust me I know... but I am kinda obsessed with working out! I Love it! I cycle, swim, walk on campus... I just love burning a good sweat. So I think what i want to do is be a PE teacher. I think it would be flippin awesome! So I am pleased with my classes. Tomorrow is going to be a pretty good day as well. I am in a recommended class from my older wiser sister, it is Nutrition 1020... it is supposed to be fun with a fun professor. And i am taking Writing 2010 because i have to. And of course i am in institute... a book of mormon class to be exact. So as of right now, I personally feel this is going to be a better semester.... HOPEFULLY! Well i am planning for the future Aunt Judy!

Tragedy!

I am experiencing a tragic moment! School starts tomorrow and I cannot find my Ipod!!! My Ipod is like a lifesaver when it comes to commutting!!!! I think i might not make the commute without it!!!!

First Day of Sunbeams and first post of the new year.

So today is Sunday. It is the first Sunday of 2009. I am a primary teacher. I teach Sunbeams. New Sunday of the new year= NEW SUNBEAMS! I must say, I will miss the sunbeam alumni of 2008 but am totally looking forward to the sumbeam class of 2009. My wise mother was right, the first few sundays will be rough but the little ones will eventually warm up to you. In my class, I have 3 boys and 3 girls. I just wanted tell you a little bit about today. Well in sharing time, i had a kid, cute as can be. He was a little wiggle worm so i said he needed to come and sit by me. He said, "I'm not sitting by you" i couldn't help but laugh in my mind. It made my day. I am also blessed to have one boy in my class whom is going to be a challenge due to communication problems. But i think my partner and I will be soooo blessed if we get to know this little guy and he warms up to us. It will change our lives FOREVER. I pray for him that it is going to work out. Today, the little girls all of the sudden started feeling my legs. (a little weird) One of them all of the sudden asked, "are these your tights?" I said yeah and then they all started telling me about their tights they were all wearing. I am so looking forward to this class, its going to be challenging, but I think its going to be WAY worth it!!!

Now, this is my first post of the new year. YAHOO!!! I thought I would give you an update on myself and share some new years resolutions with you. I finished my first semester at the U and well it was not to bad. (I don't want to tell you my grades over the internet so if you want to know, you will have to come and find me) I am ready for my 2nd semester since i kinda know how to study now. I still work at the pool. WOW shocker there! :) Now i will share with you some resolutions,
1. Read and Finish the Book of Mormon. I have never done this before.
2. (this is an original one but) Loose weight
3. Try new foods.... i guess this can go with number 2
Here are some highly bizarre goals i want to do in life down the road.
1. Go to Broadway and see the Play WICKED
2. Travel back east
3. Fly on an airplane. I have never done this
4. Become a PE teacher
5. Marriage in the temple
