Extreme Makeover Alice Cullen Style

Ok, I don't care what you all say, but I am a Twilight Series fan. I think that Alice Cullen has the cutest hair out of all the characters on the movie. Well today I took some drastic measures and printed a picture off and went to get my hair cut. I got 4 inches plus a tone of volume taken out. See for your self. The back looks stinkin cute too.

So me and my mom went to the David Archuleta Holiday Concert. IT was at Abravanal Hall! It was SOOOOOOOOO good and david looked so cute and sounded AMAZING!! Well my camera is not the best but here are some pictures on videos of him singing.

Goodbye Grandpa Stapley

Grandpa Stapley passed away yesterday. He was battling a vicious battle of Acute Melanoid Leukemia. He faught hard but didn't make it. I guess Heavenly Father wanted him home now. When I look back on Grandpa's life, man, he was one heck of a guy. It was hard to visit them often due to them living in Southern Utah. But I remember him as a man of example. From what I remember, he and Grandma were the prime example of two people in love. It was so cool watching them, where ever Grandma was, Grandpa followed, where ever Grandpa was, Grandma followed. They traveled the world together, they served 2 missions together. She never left his side during his battle of leukemia.

They are just the prime example raising a family. They have wonderful kids, grandkids, and even great grand kids. It just makes me hope that when the day comes that I meet my significant other, that he and I can follow in the steps of my ALL my grandparents. I come from 2 amazing families.

Grandpa was big into education, he was the Super Intendant of the Iron County School District. Like I said, he and his wife served 2 missions, one in Hawaii and the other in New Zealand. He was the president of the Master Singers Choir. He was a bishop for many years. I always remember Grandpa for his cars. He always had/has the coolest cars. I got to drive he and grandma's cadillac. Oh yeah.

Well I love my Grandpa dearly and will definately miss him. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and know that families can be together FOREVER!!! So I will be seeing my Grandpa again.

Nicknames

Why are nicknames so cool!?!?! I think they are cool because its what your special friends call you.... And I don't know about you but people who only know me for a week or something and call me my nicknames.... GRRRRR it is frustrating.... jk jk, WHat are your nicknames? here are some of mine.
1. For start, Natalie hahaha
2. Nat-Nat-- most of my family, aunts, grandma's call me this
3. Nat-- simple, most of my close friends call me this! and some people from work...
4. Napley-- my bosses call me this, its Natalie and Stapley combined into one...
5. Brat-- my grandma huber calls me this
6. Matalie-- my primary kids and swim lesson kids call me this.... hahahaha
7. President Stapley-- yes, back when i was a wee girl the age of 13 me and my swimmer friends had a mock relief society presidency on the swim team and between the 4 of us, we still call each other Sister (name) or just "sister"

I think nick names are a cool thing and they really show how close your friendships/relationships are with people in your lives and to me they show that people care about me.... yes that sounds cheesy but i think its true.

I am understanding this whole "studying" crap... but its going better. What else is going on? My big sister is pregnant! Not Happy!!!

So we are pretty much at the end of summer schedule- My boss just put out the fall winter spring schedule. I requested to work at least 20 hours a week to hopefully make my 3000+ bucks by the beginning of january. I only got 12 hours. I don't think I will make 3000+ dollars by spring semester tuition. AHHHHHHHHHH! I am not very happy with my boss! I cannot believe it, by boss gave all these newer guards day shifts that I wanted. I have been working there for 5 years now and think that I definately have the senoirity and deserve these shifts. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

South Jordan Sacrament Meetings

So I don't know what it is, but when ever I go to a sacrament meeting in sacrament meeting in south jordan, someone always gives an interesting talk.
Today I went to a homecoming of a very close friend. His talk was very nice and super special. Well anyways, the next speaker gets up and is SOOOO loud, it made my heart skip a beat it was so loud. He gets up and introduces him self and starts right off the bat and says that he is running for some south jordan election. He goes off on something about how he is going to get the word out that he is running, then the bishop called him to speak in church. His direct quote "the bishop called me to speak and we will leave it at that" Ok people I personally think that chruch is NOT the place to campaign for elections. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous. Then this guy was talking about prayer or something, (i had a hard time paying attention because he was SOOOO loud) and he told us about his closet. He said that is closet was HUGE. (talk about bragging or prideful or something) and he just sounded like the perfect person who prays in their nice huge closet. But then he came back and said, "Now i am not trying to say i am better then you..." Yeah right... you need to sound perfect so you can win your stupid election... Anyways... random sunday story

Summer In Review

Man! Summer is coming to a close. Sad news, friends moving away, and the cold is just months away. But I am blogging to brag about my TOTALLY AWESOME SUMMER. I think this was by far one of the best summers for me. Wanna know just some of what I did?

Well, the ULTIMATE high light of my summer was definately the trip to Washington DC. It was probably something I will NEVER forget.

What else did I do this summer? I WORKED! A WHOLE LOT!!!! I'd say I wore a swimming suit 80-90% of the summer.

I also spent time with my friends. I'd have to say, I have some of the COOLEST friends ever. They are so cool and I know they will always be there if I need anything.

What did my friends do? We kidnap each other and stuff each other in Lauren's trunk, We loved to go and play at day break. Yes, we play at Day Break parks, AND we even went to the Day Break Lake. It was pretty awesome. And we ended the summer with a lovely trip to Texas Road house. Please note that we are just jokin around ALL the time....

And finally, I had a wonderful time just being with my family. My sister's and I escaped to southern Utah which was a total blast.

MAN this summer ROCKED!!! Definately a memorable one!

Wisdom Teeth Experience

So I got my wisdom teeth pulled today. I was lucky and had only 2 and they were on the top! Let me just say, I was SOOOOOOOOOOO nervous. So when I got there, they called me back when i got there. I sat on the chair and admitted that i was SOOOOO nervous. I stayed awake and they numbed my mouth REALLY good. So I sat on the chair and the tears were slowly started to form because I was in there without my Mother and Father so yeah it was scary. They began to shoot up my mouth with stuff and the tears started dripping from my eyes. The nurses were so nice, they got a tissue and dabbed my eyes for me. And they even let me listen to my ipod... THANK GOODNESS!. After they got my mouth all shot up, one of the nurses even massaged my head to help me zone out before the doc did his business. But they have that procedure down! Right when i opened my mouth for the doc to start working, they got one out quick as a wink. Then they got the other one out quickly. It only took like 15 minutes. Here is my dad's experience, he checked me in, When they called me back, he went to find the rest room, after the rest room, he went back to the waiting room, sat down, found a magazine, and then I was done and came walking out. But yeah, it is all done, my upper jaw is just a little stiff and it will probably be worse tomorow.... so we shall see

Oh and my swelling is not very bad....

Confession!

Ok so I have a confession... I have been on a Carrie Underwood fan high lately.... She is so pretty, humble, and has one heck of a voice... I have posted my favorite songs by Carrie Underwood.... I don't care if you don't listen to them, but listen to this first one because it is a beautiful hymn that she is singing and sounds amazing!!!!! Who would have ever thought that hymns could sound so pretty with a little country "twang".


This is my other favorite Carrie Underwood song... ahhh... i can't decide... she is just so good!!! I will put 2.... This first one is a little naughty but oh so fun to sing... hehehehehe

This last one is a very moving song... I don't even have words to describe it....I guess the words speak for its self. I guess this song was written for the kids in africa who have lost parents/loved ones to AIDS

SUMMER NIGHTS!!!

Oh man, I am lovin these sweet summer nights! I have spent a lot of time with friends this summer which has been pretty amazing and such a blast.... this is a little different music video then what you have all seen but I do have some RECENT summer videos of Lauren and I that I hope to post by the end of this weekend :

WASHINGTON DC!

So many of you know that i just got back from washington DC! I have now found some time to blog about it!! Let me just say that it was a freakin blast!!! Thanks to the Aunt Judy and the Cousin Haley for planning an awesome trip. I am just going to share s0me of my favorite memories.

My favorite place was Arlington National Cememtary. It was very peaceful, sombering, and moving to see all those graves of the men who served our country. The changing of the guard at the tomb of the Unknown soldier was amazing too! It was just so cool! Here are a few pictures. I also thought the White House was really neat. And the security guards stationed outside the White House were SOOOOOO Handsome. Sadly, they are not allowed to take pictures with innocent Utah Girls. (I DID NOT ASK TO GET MY PICTURE TAKEN WITH ONE). I don't care what your political views are but that night we walked around the white hosue, Obama was in town... so we were soo close to the president!!

Another memory is the Airplane ride! For one thing, it was my first ever airplane ride! It was so fun!! Take off and Landing were fun but everything else was pretty boring. I did get a diet coke and a litttle peanut and some cookies... hehehehe. The craziest part of the airplane was our journey home. We got stranded on the DC airport tarmat for 2 HOURS!!! WE were getting so far behind schedule. We thought we were going to get stranded in Atlanta (where our lay over was) but the lucky thing was... THe flight attendants on the flight from DC to atlanta were the same ones scheduled from atlanta to SLC! SO the flight was delayed to SLC and we made it home at 3:30 AM! Yahoo!!

Oh the great memories..... I could write a post forever... But i am just going to end with some final pictures of the cousins! I think we are definately closer as cousins!! We are already hoping for another possible trip next summer!!! Here are some final pictures.

Top Signs I Need A Vacation!!!!

So many of you know me and my sisters and some cousins are going on a trip to washington DC! Well it has just hit me this week that I need that vacation BADLY and hopefully all my problems and stress can be solved. The sound of getting away from that blasted pool for 4 HACKIN DAYS sounds AMAZING!!! Well i have discovered some signs of me needing a vacation... to start with, I wear this appearel EVERY DAY OF MY WHOLE LIFE!!!!!!!

Look comfy right? Well it's NOT!!!!! Swimsuits (especially female suits) are not the most comfortable to sit in for 9-10 hours a day. Then i get home and am so tired that i wake up the next day just in time for work that i put on... you guessed it, none other then my lifeguard clothes. So for the past weeks, i have been living in a suit and PJ's... see! Look at my laundry basket!!! Nothin but PJ's!!!!And my phone of course, because i was too tired to pick it up when i took the picture

But ya know? Beyond all the stress and anger, there is one happy thing to look at... and that is my beautifully damaged skin that has changed races.... see for yourself!!! Isn't it so beautifully sun damaged?

To make a long story short, the overdosages of cholrine and vitamin D have turned me completely MAD I tell you!!!!!! MAD!!!!!!

So, (this is my personal therapy) NATALIE, you are 3 Days away from vacation! Vacation from the stupid pool! Vacation from stupid People at the Pool who make you yell and test your patience! A vacation from LIFE... ok ok, to make a long story short, A VACATION ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!! You can make it Natalie!

I LOVE COLLEGE!

SO i am really liking being on this college schedule!! I have been out of school and have done absolutely NOTHING!! WEll actually i did get My Water Safety Instructor certification... so I have done something! But i must say, i have really enjoyed waking up at 9:30-10 oclock everyday. SIGH! THis is the life! BUt now june is two-ish weeks away and I will basically be moving into the pool! sigh... oh well. Just so you all know, i do have a goal though... My goal is ot make enough money for fall tuition and half for spring of 2010 tuition! sigh.... this is when I wished money grew on trees.

ANyways... things sister stapley will be doing.... I AM GOING TO WASHINGTON DC IN T MINUS 17 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey There!!

So i have not blogged for a very long time!!!! Here's what we have been up to....

So there are alot of exciting things happening in my life right now!! Well to start, there is a week and a half left of class! WOOT WOOT!!!!! THen finals week... blah.... and then once i am done with my last final, i have completed my first year of college!! HECK TO THE YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
On other thoughts, we had our first planning meeting for the COusin Camp Washington DC trip on the first weekend of JUNE! OH my lanta, it got me SOOOOOOO excited!!!!! I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH I just have to scream i am so STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid Swimming Pool People

So at the pool tonight, I had the chance to play head guard for an hour. I am not an official head guard but the real head guard had to leave early and with my experience, he asked me to be in charge for an hour. WEll i did so and I had some of the first patrons yell at me and I am not an official Head Guard. WEll want to know what they were yelling about?
Well, at the hot tub at our facility, you have to be at least age 10-17 to be in the hot tub WITH parent supervision and 18 and over to sit by yourself. Well some lady had a freakin cow! She was freaking out because the sign did not say anywhere that children 9 and under are NOT permitted. (a little common sense needed there) and then they were sitting with a baby on their lap and I had to say again, "you may call me crazy, but you cannot have the baby on your lap even though you are not in the pool you may fall in or fall backwards or what not" well then they got mad again so i said i will go and grab my supervisor (because i am not confident in handling ticked off patrons yet) and then the instand the supervisor and I walk in the area one of the ladies comes up and starts to yell something like this, I AM 51 YEARS OLD, MY CHILDREN ARE BLUE, (this is the best part) I HAVE A DEGREE IN MEDICINE, I THINK I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECIDE WHAT MY CHILDREN CAN AND CANNOT DO. Well my supervisor said calmly, well it is our policy and is for health code violations that your young children cannot be in the hot tub, go warm them up with a towell or something. The lady snaps back again, WELL IF YOU WONT LET ME IN THE HOT TUB WITH MY KIDS, YOU NEED TO WARM THE WATER UP BECAUSE IT IS REDICULUS THAT THEY ARE TURNING BLUE. They ended up leaving the facility, but the thing that got me the most is when she said she had a degree in medicine... huh....shouldn't someone with that high of a degree know that to treat someone with a cold related emergency, you should warm them up GRADUALLY and not instantly from freezing cold to burning hot? I so should have told the lady, well if your kid is turning blue, we should probably call 911 or something. I wonder what she would have said to that comment..... HUM>>>> what do you all thinK?

ADAM LAMBERT!!!

OK, so i don't really care what you all say about this guy and his personal life, but you must agree, he is one of the most amazing singers you have ever heard on American Idol!!!! Take a look at this week's performance!!!! (and he looked super cute as well)

I am grateful for True Friends!!!!!!!

We all have friends in our lives!!! But have you ever thought what is a TRUE friend? Well to start, i invite you to at least listen to the lyrics of this song......


I don't know about you, but i think the lyrics of this song are simple but yet meaningful!!! A true friend to me is someone who is indeed there till the end!!!!! Someone who will except you for who you are!!! Someone who doesn't care how weird i am but will still be seen with me in public!! hahahahaha A true friend to me is someone who you can go and talk through late-teen-crisis' and work through them to they are settled.
Who are my true friends? Oh my lanta!! I could make a good list of awesome people!!!!!! (you know who you are)
I just know that this past month, i have indeed been grateful for true friends!!!! They are definately the people in the world you can go and talk to when times are rought!!!! (those of you who know me really well know that i always commet myself as a "big girl") I feel so cool for hanging out with cool people that will accept me for my weight!

UGH!!!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated!!!!!!!!

So tonight I went to Emily's CHHS polo game!!!! It was terrible!!! I watched from the stands and yelled from the bleachers and such and was just annoyed. I think I have a pretty good knowledge on polo... seeing i was on a Back-to-back-to-back state championship girls team, plus a few more state championships when i played on the JV team and i was also considered All american polo player!!!!Well tonight at the polo game i asked if i could share something with the team saying that "you need to guard these two girls, #10 and #17" He YELLED back "thats what i have been trying to say the whole game" I wanted to say so bad, "well why haven't your star ball hogs been doing it yet" Sorry for venting, I was just ticked off!!!!!! But I am keeping my cool now, American Idol Results are on now, got to go!!! PEACE OUT

HUGE STEP

So I don't know if you remember, but back to the beginning of the year I blogged about the first day of sunbeams. I blogged about one of our little guys who I knew may be a challenge because this little guy has some communication disorders. Well today, his grandma (his family lives in the basement of grandparents) let me hold him and she snuck away. Well guess what, IT WORKED!!!! We got him to stay for sharing time and class no problems at all!!!!!!!!!!! I was SOOOOOO excited, I can't even describe it. This was a huge step for this little guy and a way to let me and my teacher partner know, that we do have an impact on these little kids. Who knows what next week will bring, but I was stoked to have all 6 of our sunbeams in class today!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summer Lifeguarding+Hot Sun+End of shifts=Perfect Summer

SO I absolutely cannot wait for summer time. I have one of the coolest jobs! I love it. However, my job can make a person crazy! I blame the sun and the overdose of vitamin D. The following are pictures of days in the lives of their lifeguards and their boss
